A special note for the season:
We don't do Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter. We follow the 7 feasts of the Bible, found in the first 5 books of the Bible (Torah). Christmas isn't one of them. I DO believe in Yahshua (Jesus) and I believe he was born around the time of "Feast of Tabernacles", in Sept/Oct. We do Passover, instead of Easter and Sukkot or "Feast of Tabernacles" instead of Thanksgiving & Christmas. Hope you all have a good "season".

High School friends

"It takes a long time to grow an
old friend." - by John Leonard

I went to a friend's house yesterday to see some of my BEST High School girlfriends. We had so much fun. We brought our High School yearbooks and got on facebook. There are several people on there that are friends of friends that I don't recognize anymore. Well, we would look around Facebook and then say, "I don't remember him/ her....wait let me look at the yearbook".  Or, "what year did they graduate?? Oh wow he/she looks different!!"  We had such a good time and getting together with friends I haven't seen in 6-30 years was the BEST part!! I charish my friends and am so glad some of us have been able to reconnect through F/B. We've also been able catch up on our families, and sharing pictures from the past and present.  I love being able to "tag" them into our own albums.  I think Facebook is the best thing since DVR's!!

My Gift from Lori

Can you guess what this is?? It is the most special gift I recieved from my sister when I went to visit last December....Take a minute to think about it....

It's a Kaleidoscope.  I LOVE IT.  She knows I like them and I've always wanted an "adult" one, not knowing if there was such a thing!  This is the most exquisite kaleidoscope I've ever seen. You just can't get enough of it. And these pictures do not do it justice!!

Now I've decided that I want to collect them. After all, I have a couple, so I've ready started!  My husband is always wondering what to give me as a gift...how about a kaleidoscope???
Now, if you know where we can buy more, please let me know, I know several people that want one. She bought it from a man that comes into her office...and who knows when/if he'll come in again!!

After the blizzard

I'm thankful for the snow...because of it, we had some fun together. We have been sledding for the last couple of hours. I'm also thankful we have a wood stove with tile underneath & around it to dry the wet clothes, so we can use them again this afternoon! Now is the time for hot chocolate with whipped cream! Times Caleb, and his parents, won't soon forget.

Blizzard

Just a beautiful picture of the day after the blizzard.  It was really something. I remember a blizzard only one time in my life and that was a few years ago when I was visiting my grandparents in Nebraska. IN MARCH.

The wind, the snow. FRIGHTFUL.  I don't do Christmas, but my heart goes out to the people that can't be with thier families today.  Imagine having planned to go to someone's house for food, not having anything to celebrate with at your house. The kids waiting to go to Grandma's for Christmas. Imagine all the Christmas decorations that blew down. The people stranded on the highways without food, water or warmth.  I am so thankful I can stay inside with a warm wood stove and a happy, healthy, FED family.

Let it snow..

BRRR. So cold today. Let me start off that Oklahoma has hardly EVER seen a BLIZZARD, and today we had a BLIZZARD! The snow has stopped coming down, but the wind is still howling. It's 7:40, Christmas Eve night. We had rain this morning, then sleet and then snow.
It was blowing so hard that we couldn't see the pond dam which is about 120 feet from the living room window. Caleb wanted to go out so badly, we finely told him to go get the chicken eggs. It sure didn't take him long to come back inside!  Here is a picture...it sure doesn't do it justice!  Since we don't do Christmas, we are snug inside and don't have to go anywhere...but if you do, please be safe and have a good week end!!

My uh oh fix

I told you all I would show you my countertop Surface Saver that I bought to cover up my uh oh!

Here is a before picture

 & an after picture....

I really like it and it matches my tile and countertop. They have lots of different designs/colors. I also recieved my new kitchen range the same day. It's nice and looks good.
